Hi my name is Lauren but a lot of you will know me as Red.

My bookish journey begins when we were all stuck inside our home. Having found myself with some free time I discovered paid story apps and my forgotten passion for reading was re-ignited.

After wanting to find more my sister recommended TikTok to pass my time. This is where I found the amazing community called Booktok. For months I scrolled until one day I decided to jump and post my very first video.

Redreadsbooks is where everything finally came together. I found a way to socialize without needing to leave my home! I connected with some of the most amazing people and when it was time to leave the house, we all got to finally meet at the Sydney event BABE.

While at the event I noticed I had no connections to anyone Perth based. So, after the most encouraging shove forward from my gorgeous friend Alina, Perth Bookish Baddies was created.

It was much more successful than I could have ever imagined and now at 18months we are at 6000 members!

But I craved more for our Perth community, so I put the plans in motion to open a bookshop. After months of thinking about a store name it came to me just before sleep.
